You have a choice of airlines and they all put specials out . at the moment you can fly on some days with Jetstar for $84 plus taxes and Virgin for $104 plus taxes. And Freedom for $189 all up . But air NewZealand are taking back over Freedom shortly. So it’s a matter of shopping around and trying different dates on the Computer.

For a “one site search” to compare between them all go – they charge a $20 booking fee, but once you know what airline and flight # is the cheapest, go back and just book through their airlines site. (it just saves time)

Air NZ also has another website called Grab-A-Seat. Sometime you can get a real bargain, $1 fares to $49. It’s mainly travel within NZ, but some times they do real cheap deals to Australia. Best to check the site daily to see what special they have up there (changes all the time) see

Try Jetstar or Pacific Blue.

where in Astralia do you want to get to?? Just in the east or right over in the west?

If your going over to the west, spend just a little more money and save the hassle and fly with Qantas or Air New Zealand.

But if your just going to Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne…try Jetstar or Pacific Blue from Christchurch.

Definitely check Emirates if flying to Auckland or Christchurch. They frequently have very cheap fares. It is to do with the fact that the majority of their fares to Europe and Asia would start in Australia (rather than NZ) but they can keep a presence in NZ.

So, while Emirates to say, London isn’t particularly cheap, Emirates to Sydney often is! I bought a flight to Sydney over easter for approx $400 return including taxes.
