As far as the dollar… The Australian dollar to my knowledge is a tad bit lower than ours.
With that, I think you can gather that the majority of things are simular…but in all, most likely very different..

only if you are under30 you can get one 12mounth working permit but only one after that you can only come on tourest visa,if your over 30 you can get work in areas that are short of trades people but thats a 4year visa, this is a knew thing happening right now but you have to find an employer to sponcer you,if you cant do that and are over 30 then you can only come as a tourest hope this helps i am an Australian.

Lucky you, it’s my dream to go over there. It’s hard to get a visa to work in Australia. I have a degree, no criminal record, speaks 2 languages, and for some reason, I wouldn’t be able to get a visa to legally work over there. But I’ve seen on an internet site that it’s very easy to find an “undeclared” job in Australia.
As for the cost of living, it isn’t so bad. 1$ US is about 1,30$ Australian. If you want to live an “average” life, you’ll be fine.

it depends entirely on the class of your visa .. it will state whether you can work or not.
if you are caught working illegally you will be detained at your expense for a few weeks and deported.
you will be refused entry to Australia for some years, and you must pay for your detention and deportation before making any future application.
you can forget about migrating here if you are caught working illegally.

Probably not since all tourist visa are just that. Try that in the US and you will get deported and won’t be allowed to return. You might want to check the agreement between Australia and whatever your country of citizenship is. Keep in mind when you break the terms you agreed to when you got your visa you are considered out of status and possibly in the country illegally.

I would think you’d need to find an employer to sponsor you. Either you go on the Visitors/Tour Visa and VISIT/TOUR, or you get a WORK Visa and WORK in Aussie
Trying to do it round about is not going to help you LOOK good to the Country you are applying for, if you do not set about doing it honestly and correctly. My opinion.
